This year, our elementary school embarked on an exciting journey to redesign our logo, making it a true representation of our spirit and community. Our talented 6th graders kicked off the project with a lesson on logo creation in art class, where they drew inspiration from our Navy theme and the beloved Flipper the dolphin, our school mascot.

After the logos were created, staff voted on the top three designs. The students with the top 3 designs had the unique opportunity to meet with Mr. Lonnett, an educational specialists and a former art teacher in our county, who guided them through the process of refining their ideas. During their meeting, they shared feedback on each other's designs, highlighting the importance of collaboration and constructive criticism.

Mr. Lonnett skillfully combined elements from each design, including the anchor and the year of our school's founding, to create a cohesive and vibrant new logo. The students were then invited to give feedback on the draft, ensuring their voices were heard in this collaborative effort.

We celebrate not just a design, but the values of teamwork and creativity that underpin our school community. We look forward to seeing our new logo proudly displayed throughout our school!
