Standards of Learning (SOL) Testing | May 1 - May 22, 2023

Mark your calendars! This year's SOL dates have been finalized. It is important your child is at school for these assessments. Third through sixth grade students will be taking SOLs in math and reading, while fifth grade will also take science.

Mrs. Cooksey's Kindergarten class recently had a fun project based learning lesson on planting pumpkin seeds. The students were tasked with planting their own pumpkin seeds and observing their growth over time.

FCPS Students Are “Silent No More”

On Thursday, June 1, the junior class at McLean High School took part in an assembly about drug prevention and awareness called “Silent No More.”<br /><br />
Guest speakers included health experts, a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent, a federal prosecutor, and those who have been personally touched by this national epidemic that has reached Fairfax.
